Clarence
E. Boudreaux, M.D.
Dr. Boudreaux is a
native of New Orleans. He majored in biology
at the University of New Orleans. While there,
he was active in the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity
and served as president of the University of
New Orleans Premedical Society. He attended
Louisiana State University Medical College –
Shreveport where he earned his doctorate in
medicine. He was awarded membership into the
National Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega
Alpha, in 1984 and received his medical degree
with honors in 1985.
An
internship year followed at Charity Hospital
in New Orleans which broadened his exposure
to surgical specialties. After choosing dermatology
for his life long specialty he trained for 2
years at the University Medical Center of Arkansas
Department of Dermatology. Furthering his career
and professional exposure he served as Longwood
Hospital’s Chief Resident at Harvard Medical
School in Boston, Massachusetts from 1988-1989.
Dr. Boudreaux has been in private practice in
the beach community of Jacksonville, Florida
since 1990.
He
has served as president of the Jacksonville
Dermatology Society and is an active member
of the Florida Medical Association, Florida
Society of Dermatology Surgeons, American Academy
of Dermatology and the Florida Physician’s Association.
He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of
Dermatology at the University of Florida since
1991.
He
has found time to serve the community through
volunteer work with the American Cancer Society,
donated free care to the indigent through Shands
Hospital Dermatology Clinic and is a current
leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
