Melissa Gagliardi is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with eight years of experience in direct patient care. Over the last four years, her specialty as a nurse practitioner in dermatology has become her passion and she joined the Beaches Dermatology practice in 2020.

Melissa received a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) from Florida State University and went on to complete a master of science (MSN) in nursing from Georgetown University. She believes in evidence-based dermatologic care and is committed to staying up to date with the latest research in the field and applying it in her daily practice. She excels in dermoscopic evaluation of skin lesions and diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, precancerous lesions, and multiple skin disorders. She is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) and has additional accolades as a dermatology certified nurse practitioner (DCNP).

Melissa was born and raised in Florida and loves spending time outdoors. As a native Floridian, she has seen first-hand the damaging effects of compounding sun exposure and she enjoys educating and encouraging her patients about the importance of enjoying the outdoors responsibly. She believes communication, empathy, and education are the cornerstones of quality patient care.
